FogLab Vapes respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect onfoglabvapes.ca and why.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, phone number, email address, the products and store you choose, any note you add, and — for delivery — your address.
- Date of birth: checked when you enter the site and when you order, to confirm you’re 19+. It is not stored with your order.
- If you create an account: your name, email, password (stored only as a one-way scrambled hash we can’t read), optional phone number, your order history, saved favourites, and your email preferences, including when you agreed to marketing emails and the wording you agreed to.
- Promotions: when you use a promo code or offer, which order it was used on, so it can only be used as allowed.
- Product requests: your name, contact details and what you asked for.
- On your device: your cart, preferred store and the fact you passed the age check are saved in your browser’s local storage. They don’t leave your device.
- Website analytics: after you pass the age check, we may measure how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address). What you type into forms is never recorded.
Why we use it
- To prepare your order, contact you about it, and check it’s you when you collect it.
- To meet our legal obligations, including not selling to anyone under 19.
- To run your account: sign-in, order history, saved details and favourites, and password resets.
- To keep the site secure (for example, limiting repeated requests from one address) and to improve it.
Marketing emails
We only send store news, new arrivals and offers by email if you tick the separate box agreeing to it. It’s never pre-ticked, and creating an account or placing an order doesn’t sign you up. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe from your account at any time; we stop within 10 business days at the latest, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires. Order confirmations and pickup or delivery updates aren’t marketing and are always sent. We don’t sell your information.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and stores orders.
- Resend — sends order and account emails.
- Clover (Fiserv) — processes card payments when you choose to pay online. You enter your card details on Clover’s secure page; this website never sees or stores them. We receive only whether the payment went through and Clover’s payment reference.
- PostHog — website analytics.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own security safeguards.
How long we keep it
Personal details on completed, cancelled or released orders are deleted automatically after 180 days. We keep anonymous order records (products, quantities, totals) for accounting. If you have an account, those orders stay in your order history (without the deleted contact details).
Your account is kept until you close it. You can close it yourself from your account page: your login, saved details, favourites and email preferences are deleted straight away.
Your choices
You can see and correct your account details yourself on your account page. You can also ask to see, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you, or ask a question about this policy, by emailing foglabvapes@gmail.com or calling (709) 808-0288. You can clear the information saved on your device at any time through your browser settings.
