We sell vaping products only to adults 19 and older. Newfoundland and Labrador’s Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act makes it an offence to sell vapour products to anyone under 19, and the federal Tobacco and Vaping Products Act forbids furnishing, sending or delivering vaping products to young persons.
On this website
- Every visitor is asked for their date of birth before entering. Visitors under 19 can’t enter.
- Every order asks for a date of birth again and is refused online if it shows the customer is under 19.
- We use the date of birth only for that check and don’t store it.
At pickup and delivery
Online checks are a first step only. We check government photo ID in person for every online order, before anything changes hands, and the name on the ID must match the name on the order.
ID we can accept
Under section 4 of the Act, the only acceptable proof of age is:
- a driver’s licence issued under the Newfoundland and Labrador Highway Traffic Act;
- a photo identification card issued under the Newfoundland and Labrador Highway Traffic Act; or
- an equivalent driver’s licence or identification card issued by another jurisdiction.
The Act says no other form of proof may be accepted.
When we refuse a sale
- No ID, or ID that is expired, damaged, altered or doesn’t match the customer or the order.
- We have reason to believe the purchase is for someone under 19.
If a delivery is refused because the customer is under 19, can’t show valid government-issued photo ID, or the name on the ID doesn’t match the name on the order, the delivery fee is still charged and isn’t refundable.
Refusing a sale is never personal — it’s the law.
